Valerie Brewer (they/she) is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined the Student Health and Well-Being team in 2023. Prior to joining SHWB, they worked at the Johns Hopkins Department of Emergency Medicine. They received a BA in Visual and Critical studies from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, MSN from The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, and a Family Nurse Practitioner Post-Graduate Certificate from Georgetown University School of Nursing. Clinical interests include gender-affirming care, sexual health, and harm-reduction. Valerie lives in northeast Baltimore with their partner and Siamese cat.
