Shaherbano Khalid, MPH

Public Health Officer

Shaherbano Khalid (she/her/hers) started at the Johns Hopkins COVID Command Center in 2020 as an Epidemiologist within the Investigations Contact Analysis Notifications (ICAN) department. In 2022, she transitioned to the Student Health & Well-Being division at JHU, serving as the Public Health Officer. She graduated with a Master’s in Public Health from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins. Shaherbano initially started her career as a dentist before fully transitioning into public health. Her interests include infectious disease epidemiology, human rights, health systems management, and the integration of AI in public health initiatives. In her spare time, she enjoys writing fiction, reading, and indulging in console gaming.
