Iris Turay, WHNP
Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
Iris Turay (she/her/hers) is a board-certified Women’s Health and Adult Nurse Practitioner. She joined the JHU Student Health & Well-Being team in December of 2020. She obtained her BSN (2007) from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN. Iris’ core energy is about helping people feel empowered to live healthy fulfilling lives by providing holistic health care that is focused on education, equity, resources, and shared decision-making. Her desire to make a greater impact in patients’ lives and desire to teach is what led her to pursue and achieve her DNP (2013) from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. Iris currently works as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at the Homewood and East Baltimore Student Health and Well-being Primary Care clinics.
She lives in PG County with her husband and 3 kids. When she’s not in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and learning new ways to live a more sustainable and environmentally conscious life.
