Gail Daumit, MD, MHS
Professor of Medicine
Dr. Daumit (she/her/hers) is Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions with joint appointments in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Epidemiology, Health Policy and Management and Mental Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania and her M.D. At Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Daumit completed her Internal Medicine Residency, Primary Care Track at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She came to Johns Hopkins for the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program and General Internal Medicine Fellowship, earned her MHS in Epidemiology, and joined the faculty. She is currently the Vice Dean for Clinical Investigation. Her research focuses on improving cardiovascular health and decreasing premature mortality for persons with serious mental illnesses.
