Are you ready to embark on a journey towards a healthier you? Look no further than the Gentle Gains! Our supportive community is here to help you achieve your goals with a gentle approach to weight management via medical and nutritional coaching.

Eligible Students/Learners:

15 participants who classify as upperclassmen (rising juniors and seniors), graduate students, and post-doctoral learners. Candidate must be diagnosed with or at risk for high blood pressure, prediabetes, high cholesterol, elevated liver markers, and/or sleep apnea.

Please note, this group is specifically tailored for individuals at risk of developing noncommunicable diseases, rather than for general weight loss purposes. To join the group, you must undergo assessments by both Katie Kloss, NP and Rayven Nairn, RDN. The results of the assessments will determine whether you are a suitable candidate for admission.

What Will be Offered:

Meeting Details:

  • Date: Every other Thursday beginning in September
    • 9/5, 9/19, 10/3, 10/17, 10/31, 11/14
  • Time: 4:00 PM – 4:50 PM
  • Location: Primary Care, Homewood – 1 E 31st

If admitted to the group, attendance at all 6 sessions in person every other week is expected, with optional check-in visits available in between, which can be with either Katie via Primary care or Rayven via Health Promotion.
