TJ Park was born and raised in South Korea until he came to the United States at the age of 16 as an international student. He graduated from high school and completed the first two years of college in Chicago before earning his nursing degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He began his psychiatric nursing career at Johns Hopkins Hospital, working in the inpatient unit, emergency department, and a community referral site. He completed his doctoral degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practice at the University of Maryland, earning an Excellence in Psychiatric Mental Health Award.
Dr. Park believes that we live better when we have a deep understanding of ourselves as a person, and he will assist you in fostering self-discovery and empowerment. He loves serving people in the community, and he hopes to help make your time at the JHU community the most rewarding and meaningful.
In his current role at Johns Hopkins University Mental Health Services, Dr. Park provides psychiatric medication management, psychoeducation, and brief/supportive psychotherapy for the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, psychosis, OCD, and more.
