Susanna Lewis, LCSW-C is a clinical social worker at Mental Health Services, Homewood. Susanna coordinates the Interactive Screening Program (ISP), which is a unique mental health resource available to all students and learners that aims to reduce barriers to seeking care. Students and learners can anonymously complete an online stress and depression questionnaire, receive personalized feedback, and then can chat online confidentially with Susanna if they have any questions about what they are experiencing and/or the availability of supports and treatment. Susanna also conducts initial consultation appointments and participates in interdisciplinary suicide prevention research projects at Hopkins.
Two things Susanna especially enjoys about her work:
- Reducing barriers to seeking care by offering a truly anonymous option for students to talk with a counselor and ask questions about their symptoms and different treatment options.
- Helping students to take the first steps towards seeking help.
