Walker Tisdale, DSW, is a recognized subject-matter expert and national speaker on suicide prevention, crisis intervention, health equity and the social determinants of health. Dr. Tisdale is a member of the Mental Health Services (MHS) senior leadership team at Johns Hopkins University and serves as Director of Outreach, Suicide Prevention Initiatives. He leads a dedicated outreach team within MHS. Professionally, he has successfully led impactful behavioral health programs, teams, and initiatives on behalf of federal, state, and local governments as well as national non-profit organizations. A self-identified servant leader, Dr. Tisdale champions building supportive communities, fostering growth among others, and mental wellness.
In his current role at Johns Hopkins University Mental Health Services, Dr. Tisdale leads the development and implementation of a university-wide outreach strategy to address key drivers of mental health and well-being. Dr. Tisdale serves as a university-wide resource on suicide prevention initiatives.
