Nehemiah Hall

Administrative Coordinator

Nehemiah Hall is an administrative coordinator at the JHU Counseling Center. He is also a filmmaker, community organizer, and writer. Previously he worked with the Ingoma Foundation where he supported police and youth relationships, economic development, and youth leadership. B.U.I.L.D. (Baltimore United In Leadership Development), where he helped develop video presentations to highlight the recreational needs for Baltimore Youth through the “Save Our Youth/Save Our City campaign”. Through that campaign, he also helped to organize residents in the East Baltimore community of Darley Park to get the Rita M. Church recreational Center built. He also got the Nehemiah Homes built in partnership with TRF development company. He started his public service career as an advocate at Foster Youth Incorporated, a foster youth advocacy program. In 2016 he won the inaugural Joe McNeely Award for Community Organizing. Throughout his public service career he has done projects with Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland, Aspen Institute, MD Dpt of Labor, and Startup Maryland. Part time he serves as the administrator for the Griot Works Program (A Program of Afrikan Youth Alchemy) . He is currently attending Morgan State University, pursuing a degree in Screenwriting and Animation. He is eager to bring these skills to JHU CC.
