Joel is a doctoral intern at MHS. His clinical orientation is integrative, informed by evidence-based therapies such as EFT, Psychodynamic, CBT, Attachment and Relational Cultural Therapy, and other humanistic perspectives. His holistic therapeutic approach is characterized by empathic attunement and upholding his client’s intrinsic dignity.
Joel provides individual and group therapy. His clinical interests include intersectionality, multiculturalism, interpersonal relationships, mood and anxiety disorders, life transitions, social justice, spirituality, religion, talent/vocational recognition and development.
Two things Joel especially enjoys about his work:
- Supporting students as they navigate challenging life situations
- Helping students discover their strengths.
