A Baltimore City native, JaAlah-Ai is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has worked in various outpatient clinic, community, and private practice settings. She is a mental health advocate, focused on providing equitable access to mental health care to under-resourced and marginalized communities.
In her current role as a Behavioral Health Crisis Support Team (BHCST) clinician, JaAlah-Ai provides crisis support, brief counseling, and clinical consultation to JHU affiliates via the BHCST access line and in person across the Homewood and East Baltimore campuses.
