The Hopkins Food Pantry was reopened in 2022 to help address food insecurity for all Hopkins affiliates. The pantry works in partnership with the Maryland Food Bank to ensure Hopkins affiliates can succeed.
The Hopkins Food Pantry is located on Homewood campus inside The LaB at 3003 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21218. The pantry is open on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Shelves are stocked with new items on the first and third Fridays of every month, depending on food bank donations.
Any Hopkins affiliate interested in accessing the food pantry can register with the PantrySoft app ahead of time or at the pantry. Once affiliates have shopped at the pantry, they must check out with a pantry staff member at the check-out station. Shoppers are required to respect item and shopper limits, community guidelines, and check-out procedures.
Shopper privacy is respected during shopping and check-out processes. Pantry staff are present during open hours to check shoppers out and answer questions.

The pantry should not serve as your primary source for food but rather a helpful supplement. If you have a larger food insecurity or financial concern, please contact Taz Shah, Student Outreach and Support Resource Specialist, at [email protected] to get connected to additional resources.
Q: How can I and/or my organization get involved with the Food Pantry?
A: The pantry generally doesn’t accept outside food donations, but you can make a financial donation. There may be volunteer or donation opportunities to support other needs of our shoppers; please contact [email protected] to inquire about getting involved.
