Dear Johns Hopkins Community:
Today we are sharing with you Johns Hopkins’ Annual Security and Fire Safety Report for the calendar year 2023. This report includes important information regarding campus safety and related policies and procedures for the Johns Hopkins community, and its distribution is in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (commonly known as the Clery Act).
All affiliates are encouraged to read the report, which is available on the Public Safety website.
The report contains, for the three most recent calendar years, statistics regarding certain crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Johns Hopkins or an officially recognized student organization, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from our campuses. The report also contains campus security policy statements, including those related to missing-student notifications, emergency notifications, fire safety, relationship violence, sexual assault, stalking, and crime prevention. It also has information on how affiliates should report crimes.
In addition, the report provides information about policies, procedures, and prevention efforts surrounding sexual misconduct, as well as numerous internal and external resources for survivors of sexual misconduct on pages 20–24. Individuals affected by sexual misconduct and other crimes are encouraged to reach out for support.
