Mary D. Vincitore, MS, LCPC

Director, Student Health and Well-Being Operations

Mary obtained her bachelor’s degree in business and first pursued a career in human resources management and organizational development. Noting an interest in human interaction and mental well-being, she pursued a master’s degree at JHU in clinical and community counseling. With more than 20 years of service in the mental health field, Mary has provided services to individuals and groups, in community mental health programs, private practice, and academia. At JHU she served in a number of roles including directing the Johns Hopkins University Student Assistance Program, where she managed the delivery of counseling and crisis response services to graduate, professional, and medical students.

To impact change on a larger scope, she moved into her current role and works on policy and procedures development, organizational effectiveness, and special projects including, in collaboration with JHU’s public safety and the president’s office, the creation and implementation of the JHU Behavioral Crisis Support Team (BHCST).
