Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Milly provided therapy to immigrant and diverse populations. As a first generation Mexican-American, Milly provides counseling rooted in cultural humility and with a trauma-informed approach. Milly focuses each session on the individual’s strengths and uses cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based theories, and dialectical behavioral therapy techniques to help individuals manage their anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, and life transitions. Milly provides sessions in Spanish or English. She aims to create a safe, non-judgmental space where students can learn skills and overcome challenges. In addition to providing counseling, Milly plans programming in order to support international students.
