From physical health to financial stability, from the spiritual to the social, all aspects of our lives have an effect on our sense of well-being. As Vice Provost of Student Health and Well-Being, I am honored to work with a team of higher-ed professionals dedicated to supporting all aspects of our students and trainees\u2019 well-being, and helping them develop tools and practices to be successful during their Hopkins experience and to serve them beyond graduation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wellbeing.jhu.edu\/ViceProvost\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/11\/MicrosoftTeams-image-12.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-82\" src=\"https:\/\/wellbeing.jhu.edu\/ViceProvost\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/11\/MicrosoftTeams-image-12-300x300.png\" alt=\"A circle is divided into eight wedges labeled with the following names and colors around the edge of the circle: Spiritual (red), Sexual (orange), Social (dark green), Environmental (spring green), Financial (navy), Physical (blue), Emotional &amp; Mental (purple), and Professional (lilac). With recommendations released in 2018, the Task Force assessed the state of mental health resources available, reviewed current research on effective strategies for mental health promotion, and made recommendations on how the University can better support the mental health needs of our students and trainees. Please read <a href=\"https:\/\/provost.jhu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/TFSMH-Implementation-Report-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">this document<\/a> to learn more about the University\u2019s ongoing investments to implement recommendations from the Task Force.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW97221014 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW97221014 BCX0\">Our well-being wheel (pictured at right) serves as a visual guide to better understand the eight elements o<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW97221014 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW97221014 BCX0\">f health and well-being, which are inherently interconnected and symbiotic.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Key to our mission in Student Health and Well-Being is ensuring that all of our students and trainees have equitable access to Johns Hopkins University\u2019s well-being resources. Our core values of trust, respect, and collaboration are essential to the work of our division; thus, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of diversity and inclusion in both our services and outreach.
