Well-Being coaches work with clients to identify their goals, overcome obstacles, and develop strategies to enhance their overall well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our office also provides confidential Relationship Coaching that aims to build skills for healthy communication and connection in all types of relationships. Get started with relationship coaching by visiting <a href=\"https:\/\/wellbeing.jhu.edu\/HealthPromotion\/confidential-resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Confidential Resources<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is well-being Coaching?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through a supportive and non-judgmental process, well-being coaching empowers individuals to make positive changes in their lives. Well-Being coaching can focus on any aspect of well-being. Coaches provide private space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, values, aspirations, and work towards improving their holistic well-being. All coaching sessions are provided at no additional cost. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some examples of topics that you would bring to address in well-being coaching are: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sleep<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prioritizing well-being in your routine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing stress<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Feeling &#8220;stuck&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time management &amp; organization skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social and interpersonal skill development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are new to coaching and a coaching relationship, it is helpful to determine what is and what is not part of coaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><\/td><td><strong>Coaching is&#8230;<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Coaching is not&#8230;<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Privacy vs. Confidentiality<\/strong><\/td><td>Private, not confidential. <\/td><td>Confidential. The learner determines the goals and path the coaching will take.<\/td><td>Coach-directed. The coach is not serving as the expert or the guide.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Time Orientation<\/strong><\/td><td>Focused on the present, is action-oriented, and making plans and goals for the future.<\/td><td>Focused on the past. Coaching does not directly address trauma.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Coaching Relationship<\/strong><\/td><td>Person-centered.
